We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Logistics Coordinator


Supporting the logistics team by:
O Ensuring products reach customer to promise date.
O Managing haulier and subcontractor communications.
O Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures.
O Ensuring legislative compliance is met in relation to imports and exports.
O Support the logistics manager by providing cover for the stores operation during absence.

Key duties and responsibilities

Delivering logistics excellence by:

O Liaise with hauliers, obtaining quotes and booking of transport.
O Ensuring the 'milk run' operates efficiently.
oRaising of purchase orders for freight activity.
oLiaising with sub-contractors.
oLiaise with customer arranged hauliers.
oEnsuring POD's are received for all shipments.
oRequirements of both import and export documentation.
oEnsuring compliance with HM Customs Legislative requirements for import and export.
oMaintenance of commodity codes on all part numbers.
oRaising of purchase orders for subcontract.
oSupport and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, quality standards and all other company policies and procedures.

Qualified required/ desirable

* Import/ export qualification

Experience required / desirable
o Minimum of 12 months in an logistics environment
o Knowledge of importing/exporting
o Able to communicate at all levels within the business
o Knowledge of erp systems
