Your Key Tasks
• Create purpose and direction around OGSM deliverables(Objectives, Goals ,Strategies and Measures).

Our client based in Ryton on Dunsmore are looking for Fork Lift Truck drivers to join there expanding team.
Day to day duties will include the following:
• Loading and Unloading Trailers
• Putting away stock in a safe and timely fashion ensuring stock is not damaged
• At quite times the FLT drivers will be required to do general warehouse duties
• Breaking down of pallets and wrapping and labelling the correct stock
• Handballing is also required when needed

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:
• Need at least 6 months experience
• Need to have a license in date within 3 years
• Need to have good communication skills and understand written instructions

Main Duties, Activities and Responsibilities:

• Responsible to do truck spot checks and record the information on day shift

• Issue trailer locks to loaded trailers and record locks issued
• Update the magnetic board with the allocated trucks and trailers and yard checks
• Advise the fleet manager on any new defects or breakdowns
• Action any points form the fleet manager with regards to stood kit, inspections, service and defects.

Business development & Customer Service
• Supporting new projects and opportunities
• Adhere to operational procedures for new custom and opportunities
• Customer retention, promote business to our customers & prospects
• Deal and action all customer questions
• Update customers with potential delays via phone and email
• Provide PODS for customers, highlight customers not using the online portal
• Enhance relationships with customers
• Response in a timely manner to customer requests and queries

Management of the health and safety
• Adhere to all Trucklink.EU Health and Safety Policies and Procedures when partaking in any working duties that require a specific Safe System of Work
• Reporting all incidents
• Support, comply and ensure complicity with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, the company handbook, quality standards and all other company policies and procedures

Other duties:
• Check all handovers and action any points
• Check all epods and pods have been correctly uploaded, action and investigate any that are un-complete
• Log all consignment on to the TMS, for all general haulage work on the correct service and rates
• Create all timesheets for all drivers
• Allocate all contracted runs on the Database
• Attached all delivery and collection notes to the drivers' time sheets
• Constant communication via face to face, telephone and through messaging devices with drivers and other internal colleagues
• Record collection/delivery status and discrepancies in systems and escalate where appropriate
• The main support for the planners
• Pre-brief drivers on their daily runs
• De-brief drivers on return, both Pall Ex and General Haulage drivers
• Uploaded all signed PODS during the shift
• Scan on all customers own paperwork on to the TMS
• Must have a good telephone manner
• Liaise with drivers on the road over collection and delivery issues
• Always provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere to ensure all staff work to the best of their abilities
• Support, comply and ensure complicity and Health, Safety and Environmental regulations, the company handbook, Quality standards and all other company policies and procedures

• Leading, developing and motivating the team and gaining an understanding of the individual's strengths and weaknesses.
• Identifying process improvements and once agreed, implementing them.
• Conducting appraisals and managing any underperformance.
• Ensuring high standards of behaviour are met by all staff including punctuality, attendance, attitude and teamwork.
Key skills and experience:
• Previous managerial experience within in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Able to proactively engage with employees in the right way to create the most positive and efficient working environment.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
• Highly organised, process orientated and confident in your own abilities.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal - able to communicate well with all levels.
• Able to anticipate and identify problems and ensure solutions are effectively implemented.
• Confident with Microsoft Office packages.
• Experience with the management/upkeep of MHE with a good working knowledge of the requisite regulations.

* Dealing with any issues that may arise whilst on shift and find solutions
* Complete daily a clear handover with each relevant department
